Attendance

Class will begin promptly at scheduled times. Students should arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before class. Students who arrive late to class must ask the instructor’s permission to enter. Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late may be permitted only to observe class. This measure is to prevent possible injury to the child.

Attendance will be taken at every class. Attendance is one factor in determining participation in choreography, shows and trips. The instructor must be notified of all absences.

Class Conduct

Students are to be dressed in proper attire during class. The dress code will be strictly enforced. No food, gum, cans, or bottles are allowed in the studio. Refillable water bottles are permitted. Talking during class, profane language, horseplay, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Students may not leave the Kashtan studio without the permission of the instructor. Students are expected to be respectful to the instructors, accompanists, chaperones, and costume helpers.

Parents will be notified of consistent violations of the above policies. The instructors reserve the right to stop class, warn the student or have the student sit out and observe the remainder of the class.

Performances

All class policies will apply as well to performances. Additional rules and policies for performances will be distributed whenever necessary. For safety purposes, all Kashtan students will be required to wear Kashtan t-shirts or sweatshirts for performances.
