Dress Code and Class Description

 

Dress code for Groups I, II, and III

Absolutely no jewelry or watches allowed in class.

Girls dress code:
Black leotard, pink tights, ballet skirt, pink ballet slippers, and red character shoes. 
Hair must be secured back in a bun. 

Boys dress code: 
Black sweatpants, white T-shirt, black ballet slippers or jazz shoes.

 

Dress code for Groups IV

Absolutely no jewelry or watches allowed in class.

Girls dress code:
Black leotard, pink tights, ballet skirt, pink ballet slippers. 
Hair must be secured back in a bun. 

Boys dress code: 
Black sweatpants, white T-shirt, black ballet slippers or jazz shoes.

 

Group I class
Class will focus on barre and technique. This class is designed to build muscle, endurance, and balance. Dance steps will cleaned and polished in this class. This class will prepare the students for the choreography class on the second Saturday of the month 

Group II class
This class will be identical to class I
.

Group III class
This class is an entry level class primarily designed to accommodate any students who will be coming over from St. Vladimir's. This class will introduce students to the basics of a dance class.

Group IV class
This class will prepare students for classes I and II. Students will begin learning complex combinations and continue to build endurance and technique. This class will introduce an emphasis on technique and presentation of steps that will prepare students for the stage.

Choreography class
Once a month, Kashtan will combine classes I and II to work on choreography. These classes will be key in the development of the repertoire and are required. Failure to show for these classes will put students at a disadvantage to their fellow students. The classes will be every 2nd Saturday.
